Wangari's trees of peace By Jeanette Winter is a True Story of Wangari Maathai an Environmentalist and Political Activist from Kenya.
There was once a time when people considered no other profession is there other than engineer, doctor or accountant. While discussing these during a kids' play date with some of my friends, it stuck in my mind to search for what other professions are there, and Google helped us find this book.

Wangari Maathai is an environmentalist and political activist from Kenya, born in Kenya she moved to the US for higher studies after she was awarded a scholarship. When she was in Kenya she loved the greeneries in her village and her walks through the trees, But after returning from the US to Kenya she found that most of the trees were destroyed to raise buildings.
She wanted the trees back, she educated women to plant trees, she fought with people and the government not to cut trees, and she was jailed once, finally, her brave struggle yielded her the results, a lot of trees planted, the green belt movement she started has spread to more than 30 African countries now.
She was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004.
